Rocoto Red
Pubescens

This is a wonderful chilli with the perfect combination
of heat and flavour for a wide variety of dishes both cold
and cooked. These peppers look like minature bell peppers.
This chilli is usually in the high Andes Mountains.
Rocotos can be a slow to germinate, so be sure to keep the soil temperature
above 24C (75F), although once mature these plants are very resistant to low
temperatures.
Rocotos are at their best when eaten fresh and should be left on the plant until needed.
